Great for the money (2009-01-06)
I am very happy with this product. It is lightweight and cheaper than the products I found at Target. It doesn't get 100% of the stains out right away but does eventually.
I would recommend to anyone that has a small pet :)
Great for the price (2009-01-04)
I have only had this for one day but so far so good. I have 2 indoor cats and two indoor dogs. I do have a better, heaver, more powerful steam cleaner i use 2-3 times a year, but before one room is done my back and hand is killing me. This i will use once a month. Also, our washer (in the carpeted bathroom) had a leak and the carpet was so wet it felt as if it was a yard after a septic tank overfilled.(mushy) This is , slowly, taking all that water out. You can 'suck' and not spray water. It is light and easy to use, also we have a tiny bathroom and the large cleaner would not fit well in it. If you have pets, you know that you still get a lot of hair in the uptake. This comes apart easy to clean.
Not as sturdy or as powerful as I thought (2008-12-28)
It's been less than a year and after about 5th time cleaning the carpet, the brush stopped turning. I thought that maybe strings or threads have wound around the cylindrical brush but that was not the case.
It turns out to be a flimsy rubber belt that it uses to turn the brush. It has stretched to the point that it can no longer sit on the gear properly.
Granted that it only cost $4.00 for the belt but still it shouldn't go out as soon as it did.
Additionally, it's diffifult to completely clean out the waste tank if carpet fibers gets inside.
As far as cleaning goes, it does an OK job especially living here in the Island of Kauai where red dirt is readily everywhere and it's quite difficult to clean.
I gave it three stars only because it didn't do a good job of cleaning the red dirt off the carpets. Perhaps if you live in an area where the carpet doesn't get so soiled, this unit will work good for you.
Unfortunately, not in may case and I wound up purchasing another carpet cleaner.
To it's credit, it's light and easier to use on stairs than the hand held attachment that came with my new carpet cleaner. If only it did a better job of cleaning.
TOTALLY AWESOME! (2008-12-21)
Cost $85 bucks on sale at Sears (GREAT price!), very easy to set up and use right away, extremely easy to maneuver, fit into more narrow areas than a reg. vac (around the toilet in my carpeted bathroom), sucked up most of the water that it sprayed out, only used about 2oz. of Bissell cleaner in the half gallon clean water tank (compared to Little Green requiring EIGHT oz of cleaner), only had to refill 4 times in a 20' x 15' area (big living room), got TONS of nasty grit and dirt and particles out of my carpet that I had JUST thoroughly vacuumed previously (and thought it had looked clean)---bottom line--- I LOVE this product, and it totally exceeded my expectations! I rented a Rug Doctor a few months ago, and I liked this MUCH better (the Rug Doctor really strained my back). Totally buy it!
Wow, perfect loved it! (2008-12-16)
Well i ordered it and it came next day, of course because amazon is great when it comes to that. I am an active military member and was overseas and still items were shipped fast and on time. This item was perfect, cleaned my pets stains very well, easy to use and lightweight.
